There’s a few good lakes in the UK. The best I’ve found for wild swimming are Llyn Gwynant and Lake Bala in Wales.

This one’s in France. Just east of Limoges. We brought the motorhome down about 4 weeks ago. The water was mid 20s. It’s now nearer 20c. Swimming the buff too

I’ve lived long enough to know that I deserve a beer or a steak dinner once in a while, without having to count calories.

....... and I’m old enough to know better.

    Sounds refreshing.
Lake Bala is a lovely spot
    , 20oC seems bearable ...
I swam across Tatton Park Lake in Knutsford a couple of years ago for a dear not a deer, seemed surprisingly mild.

Hey, dude, don't get bogged down in the details - it ain't 'cool'. Stick with Slap, you'll get there eventually.

Did this in the woods last night.

It's what happens when you go on a meth and Guinness binge before mountain biking.

Chitty you write this often, how long does it take you to do the 21 kilometers, for me a half marathon was the hardest thing for me to do. Done it once at 2. 53 minutes at a very brisk walk. Only been able to do it once. I have done 24 K a few times but morning and evening.

Get yerself a heavy bag, a pair of decent gloves (and wraps), and thirty minutes. One of the best all-over fitness training methods available.
This guy ain't a real boxer, but his workout programs are good:
