New report routine the past couple of weeks, making a huge difference with less impact on joints.
Instead of 20/15/10
I'm pushing heavier at 10/8/6
No pulling either.
I'm running up Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen y Ghent with a cyclo-cross bike on my back in September, so I've got that to train for. The mountains are stepped towards the top, so to replicate this I get on those step mills in the gym with a 15kg sandbag on my back and march up it for an hour. Lots of funny looks, lots of sweat, lots of pain.
And for the cycling training, have I mentioned Zwift?
Zwift is currently my most favourite thing in the world, next to my kids and Kronenbourg 1664.
I've started up the afternoon strolls. Brisk walk really, just a touch over 2km every day.
I also take the kids along so we can have some bonding time whilst they complain over how much they hate being made to go on walks.
^55. Yep. I usually walk my dogs around the woods / tapioca plantation at the back of our house in Banchang. Nice little circuit around 1.5km, the kid only comes along when he's trying to get on my good side these days.
Hard work getting the kids out exercising, bribery and trickery normally does the job.
Planning on hiking up Mt Snowdon at the weekend, should be interesting. If the traffic is bad then might resort to plan B, a hike up Kinder Scout.
Gonna be the hottest day of the year and should get clear panoramic views from the summit.
My only training will be resting my knee joints as much as possible.
Kinder Scout is a moorlandplateau and National Nature Reserve[3] in the Dark Peak of the DerbyshirePeak District in England. Part of the moor, at 636 metres (2,087 ft) above sea level, is the highest point in the Peak District, the highest point in Derbyshire, and the highest point in the East Midlands. In excellent weather conditions the city of Manchester and the Greater Manchesterconurbation can be seen, as well as Winter Hill near Bolton, and the mountains of Snowdonia in North Wales.

Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales, at an elevation of 1,085 metres above sea level, and the highest point in the British Isles outside the Scottish Highlands. It is located in Snowdonia National Park in Gwynedd.

Around the lake is 300m so one lap at full-Lulu. Or close enough to it. One lap walking and repeat 3 times.

For some reason the sprinting lap got progressively shorter each time. :)

* If you like whatever fluid to be coming up into your mouth to be suspiciously salty, while being unable to breath, it's great.
Not long back from a 10km run. Got a good sweat on.
^ Nice one. Do you ever enter any fun runs or half marathons?
There's a Batman fun run coming up in Pattaya, I think it starts at 10pm:)
I'm just doing it for the t shirt actually.:)
There's only two races, 3km or 6kms.
There are 3 teams, Batman, Joker or Hartley Quin.
Always preferred The Joker
What readings you getting when shagging for more than a minute, or is no one wanting to put those stats up?
Is the climbing, shagging LB time? :)

^ Strava.
My father always said the body was like a machine the more you use it the quicker it wears out. He was quite sprightly never needed a walking stick and died after a fall at 91. Never saw him drink a glass of water. Apart from when he passed away, the last time he had been in hospital was in WW2 after contracting scrub typhus. I have meticulously followed his advice and it has worked for me. IMHO Sensible diet limited Alcohol and no smoking will serve one much better and some regular horizontal tango, preferably with someone of the opposite sex who is not a walking virus factory.
All the jogging in the world will not save you from poor diet too much alcohol and smoking, or in lulu's case STDs. It will give you arthritis, a need for knee and hip replacement surgery and back discs the thickness of rice paper.
With reference to the healthy meals thread. Once again its up to exercise. Get up at 530 have a coffee look at the news and set off at 6. By 730 you can have a nice little bit of exercise done. Do it again in the evening and eat as you wish. Good moods are part of the package as well. :)

Just back into it today after a short break / holiday / flu.
The 'Lower' part of a Lower / Upper / Legs / Push / Pull routine.
Usually I'd do some cardio of an evening, walk or something like that, but fuck that I'm gonna be sore later so sofa FTW then :D
