That's impressive, Neverna. I did a max. of 5km in the past. I prefer running intervals (HIIT).

Pics and a report would be nice. I once did a 200km bike ride in Quebec on a national bike trail.. but did it leisurely over a few days.. no racing for me.
An audax is a long distance/ endurance cycle. It's not a race as such but there is a cut off time and no medals etc if your your not back within the required time. They usually start at 101kms, 202,300,400 up to around a 1000 kms all with time limits .thete are longer rides such as London Edinburgh London and breste Paris breste which is for nutters, getting by on a couple of hours sleep each day to try and make the cut off time..

    ^That sounds exhausting..

Today I biked 40 minutes to work and back. A habit I will be doing even throughout the winter.

It's been noticeable for a decade now how you scrupulously avoid overdoing things.

I was planning to do some endurance cycling later this year but I've just spent two days on the South Downs Way and... was anyone in England on Wednesday? See that rain? Well, I was in it for nine fucking hours, and at one stage - while mending my second puncture of the day - extremely concerned about the onset of hypothermia. The bike is now in the shed... where it will stay until I have forgiven both it, and the twatting British weather.

One hour walk outside and the day is just getting started!
Unfortunately, having an Indian dinner and will probably get on the drinks tonight which will ineffectually zero out the calories burned on the walk.

Did a 22min 5k at one of my local Parkruns. I must've been trying pretty hard because I pissed myself at the finish line.

935 running miles for the year so far.

^Good for you, Chitty! Still at it?

I'm proud of myself, having been quite ill since November, I've finally been able to go back to the gym.

Did 45 minutes of cardio, jogging and eliptical.
Also did some body weight exercises. Starting off slow, and I think I'll hire a personal trainer in a week or two. They have a boxing cage at my gym and I want to get back into Muay Thai. To think last summer I spent four weeks at a Muay Thai training camp in Thailand and was at the top of my game. Back in the saddle!

    Log your workouts here folks!

What was your total for the year, Slap? I've just counted mine up: 1000 miles (999.9 to be precise). Not a great year for me. I hope this year will be better. Did a leisurely 7 mile run this evening.

It's not bad though! Especially given the heat that you're running in.

Finished the year just shy of 1,300 running miles and just over 4,000 cycling miles.

Looking to ramp up the running a smidge in 2018, just because I want to do a couple of ultras.

Keeping fit during being unwell can help you as the body releases chemicals to heal your body.Hope it's nothing to serious and your on the mend.
Try extra supplements and vitamins, that will give your body an extra boost.

Yes, in a bid to become the baddest fucker in North-West Surrey, I go to Thai Boxing every Monday night.

I fear, however, I have a very long way to go until I become the baddest fucker in North-West Surrey - my kicks couldn't fell a fucking stinging sapling, and my punches are uncoordinated flurries that invariably make me feel a little dizzy and in need of a bit of a sit down.

Thanks, Chitty. I had pneumonia for almost two months. Was in the hospital for ll days, and it was the sickest I've ever been. I still have to be careful as I've really only been almost 100% better for a few weeks now. If I don't eat right, or don't get enough sleep, I start with the coughing/phlegm etc..
I started taking vitamins and need to keep trying to eat right.

Well, at least you are trying. You will get better with time. I've been doing Muay Thai off and on for eight years.. but mostly to get fit (not to fight people). Best place to learn and do a month course is in Thailand.

Today I walked home from work... about forty minutes. I may hit the gym later if I have the energy. I hate Mondays!

Slap - apparently if you want 50% more power in your punch...
