Scamp, they sell Ebisu, which is Sapporo's premium product and IMO the best of the Big Four major Japanese brewery products, at Max Valu on On Nut, albeit for 165 baht/can, which is roughly twice what you'd pay for it in Japan. All Thai beer sucks, but yes, you have seen me drinking fairly large amounts of Leo. Asahi Super Dry tastes the same in Thailand to me as it does in Japan- like nothing. Happy to find San Mig more and more available in Thailand.

I do drink beer in Japan, especially Yona-Yona, a widely-distributed pale ale from Karuizawa and only slightly more expensive than Ebisu, but the real value in Japan is wine. A decent bottle of wine costs about 1/3 to 1/4 what it does in Thailand.
