    Where's the best java?

(standing in front of the entire TD forum)

    Yes, I am a coffeeholic!

I became addicted to coffee in my teens when I joined the service. I have always consumed more than 4 cups of coffee in the morning and often much, much more. It is a true addiction, no coffee flavored candy or ice cream please! Just pure unadulterated black coffee no sugar.

OK, I do like an occasional Kaffee yen made the thai way.

Now, I have not tried all the coffee shops in Thailand but I've found very very few that serve a decent aromatic brew that is not bitter or dishwater.

I posted this pix in the pix forum and this place has the best coffee I've ever tasted in Asia, bar none.

Full aroma, full bodied taste and not one inkling of bitterness. It is grown and roasted by a falang and distributed my motorbike in Vientien. Small bags of beans - about a cupfull or slightly more - I can't remember what I paid but I do remember it was cheap.

Where have you found the best cup of Java in Thailand??? And I DON"T mean Starbucks candy swill.

Got some new coffee from the Chiang Rai area through a friend.
It's not java but it's pretty good for Thai coffee.

    Celebese Kellossi

My favorite coffe come from Indonesia, Clebese Kellosi. I friend here in the states is a microcoffee roaster and whenever I travel to Thailand I bring a pound or two of beans, coffee grinder and french press pot.
I will be moving to BKK soon so I will have to bring a bit more and store in the freezer.

Quite happy with my "Solis" small processing machine and the choice of beans available at Boncafe...

I think i've purchased this machine some 7 years ago, for 20 K thb or so, and it is probably 50 cups a day, still works fine, staff of boncafe service it for free then and when...

Boncafe Beans bags, plenty of choice from different countries and Thailand as well, i think 250gr for 150 thb or so around...

A fresh ground bean straigth processed to the cup is a must...
