Been to this bar 2 or 3 times without a problem, but tonight got caught out on the 500/1,000 baht scam.

Check Bin came to 515 baht including a lady drink, and gave them 1,000 to cover it.
After waiting a while for my change I was told that I only gave them 500 baht and shouldn’t expect any change.
I pointed out that if this was the case, why did they not ask me for the extra 15 baht. They couldn’t explain this and asked me to leave the bar.

I left wondering if I could have possibly made a mistake. but outside the lady who check binned me followed me out and said sorry, she knew I gave a 1,000 baht note, but could do nothing about it as she didn’t want to loose her job.

Went back a few minutes later and argued with the manager, but basically got F*cked off with a knowing smile, and a few threats.

Told him I was going to post this all over the internet, but he said they didn’t care about the internet as they had been established a long while, and nobody would care less.

Also I could not really care less about the 485 baht, but hate to be scammed.

Care People, give this Soi Two Topical bar a wide birth.

Hi DD,

It happens, even for us veterans, LOL.

I wouldn’t mind, but I had only had 3 beers at the time.
Not really a lot I could do about at the end of the day.
Just been to the ATM and didn’t have any change.

Reflecting, I don’t really blame the owners for this as they were not there, and we all know that if a staff member sees a chance they will take it, but it really pissed me off at the time, even though I lked this bar on my last few visits.

Hope you are well, and glad to have found this forum.
