    Bourbon Street,Great Place

When I come back we like to go to Bourbon Street off Soi 22.I really like this place.Everything we've had there has been very good.Last time we were there I ordered the Italian Cheese Sausage Appetizer, just damn good.Wanted to talk to the guy that owns this place but he wasn't there.I'm from Louisiana originally,so I know a little about koon-ass food. But we ordered the Shrimp Fajitas this time,my wife never had anything like this before, but she loves it.Wants to put all this stuff on our menu.Told her,no,can't put everything, but can put some things.Decided to start making our own sausage,so bought a meat grinder, meat mixer, and sausage stuffer.Got some hog casings and some seasonings for Polish,Brats,Hot Italian, and maple.Could go on and on,but point of the thread is,Have any of you guy's or lady's ever been to Bourbon Street? If so,what do you think?

If you're around during Thanksgiving they have a feed in there that's nothing short of spectacular. It goes on for about 3 days. Best to go early as it's very popular and the staff can get overwhelmed.

Yea mate, I have been to Burbon Street in Washington Sq several times. Always a good meal. Good but certainly nothing to rave about. As I recall, they have some TexMex foods on the menu. I'd go again if in the area.

So when are you headed back this way?

My partner was actually in your neck of the woods about a month ago with his CG. Good will thing.

    Keep your head down mate.

Bourbon Street has been the topic of a lot of conversation before on the board. I think the food is very good. I particularly like the eggs benedict. Doug Harrison has owned and operated the place for years. He has had an extremely good run despite its shabby atmosphere and location.

I've heard they are moving to Ekkamai.

Start off by having two venues, and then when weashington Square meets it's well deserved demise it'll have the one permanent location.

I quite like the Tuesday buffet.....

Ekkamai rents are high. He won't be enjoying the sweetheart deal he had in WS.

^Ekkamai is Sukhumvit Soi 63 .... I was in Bourbon Street last Monday, and one of the servers told me they are expecting to open that store in 2-3 months. I will believe it when I see it ... back in March, they were telling me they would open about the first of June. They've also told me that it will be very close to Sukhumvit, with easy access from the skytrain.

Keep an eye on their website ... they do a pretty good job with that. I'm sure they will announce the new store as soon as it's ready. I'm kinda looking forward to the new opening.

And I agree with you ... Bourbon Street does a fine job, all said.

I guess that's pretty funny.Don't know a lot about Bangkok.Only stay a couple of days when I get back and then head down Rayong way.Found out about Bourbon Street just looking around on the net.Never been in Nana or Cowboy either. That will probably get a bigger laugh.Been some places most wouldn't dare go though.I'd like to talk to the owner of Bourbon Street, see if he'll tell me who some his suppliers are.He might, might not.Have to see.

Is that the Mexican night for under 400 baht?
Been to the Mexican buffet a couple of times this year and was pleased with the spread.
Not out of this world, but very happy with the quality, choice of grub and price.
Makes a good night out. Bourbon Street for the eats, Sportsman for a game of pool or two then round the back to Queens Park Plaza for the ball tickling.
    Black diamonds? I shit 'em.

I like to shoot pool.Don't get to shoot as much anymore.Where is the Sportsman and what and where is Queens Park Plaza?I want to put a pool table at Mikels. Was thinking about a coin operated model, maybe a 7ft.I don't like them but would be easier to handle for her, just let the folks feed it if they want to play.I see on BS web site they have rooms. Are they at the restaurant and are they okay?

Walked past the place a hundred times but never ventured in.

Eating gets in the way of drinking I have found plus Taffy's is a few doors up the Soi.

Depends who's in the bar (both male customers and girls) and whether Taffy is pissed or not. He is a nightmare when pissed, loud and obnoxious but a good bloke when sober.

I like to start off in Taffy's for a few beers and a bit of banter and then move on.
