Caaught this interesting video of a food/restuarant practice that is being used in some nations. They have a way of taking small pieces of meat and bonding them together into one new piece of meat. You might find it enlightening.

Really? I did a search on TD but nothing came up. I bumped into it on Facebook.
I may be wrong. Worth a look. Amazing it doesnt change the taste.
Another rerason to be vegetarian
Just food. No doubt the veggies controlled by corporations are equally manipulated when they can get away with it.
I doubt very much that there ain't an ounce of processed meat that it isn't in. According to research, it's perfectly safe as long as you don't inhale it in the powder form. Not much chance of that occuring.
You did, it was in the news forum but just a link, so it was dumped in mkp.Originally Posted by brouhaha

Today Tonight is well known for perceived bias and/or inaccuracy in reporting.
Its the most complained about show on Australian TV.
Today Tonight condemned | thetelegraph.com.au
Agree Today Tonight and ACA in Aus are pretty ordinary Current Affairs programs... BUT..
I used to work for a meatworks which was names by Today Tonight who used the meat glue. This was a few years ago, and this meat glue was the reason I left. Top Cut (aka Tender Plus) was the company's name. They "declined to be interviewed" on TT on the subject.
The issue I had with it was the glue was used in the boning rooms I worked in/managed, and there was ZERO protective equipment at first for the lads using it. There was a warning label on the packaging written in Japanese, so one of us took it to a Japanese restaurant (one of our customers from memory) and asked them to translate. The warning stated that anyone who used it should wear gloves, eye goggles and a facemask as well as use extraction fans.
I, as well as a number of other workers, had grave concerns, as the glue works on the moisture in meat to form a sticky bond which glues the meat together. The lads who were using the stuff used stainless steel salt shakers to put the stuff on (similar to the salt shakers used in fish and chip shops). The glue, as fine as talcum powder became airborne, and we were breathing the stuff.. It became stuck in our lungs, and made it very hard to breathe at times.
A LOT of guys got sick from this glue, trouble breathing, coughing, itchy.... and when we confronted management/owners about it their solution was to use it mainly on the nightshift which was staffed by "new Australians" - mainly Vietnamese and Africans who wouldn't care..
I was out of there...
Just trying to have a little bit of fun, folks, that's all. - Dean Martin
... I should add that after initial complains face masks and disposable gloves were issued, and the staff were directed to re-use the disposable face masks.. people were still getting sick, and management stated they were simply suffering from asthma or other respiratory conditions which had nothing to do with the product.
I did a few costings of the stuff, and they were making an extra $10,000-$20,000 AUD on the main product they used it on (eye fillet steak) per day, at an extra labour cost of under a thousand per day. (300,000 THB-600,000 THB approx)
Well worth a cover up IMO, I was outta there
