This is one of our favorite dishes. We eat it about once a week. The best one we've found is at the Save-One flea market about two kilometers from our house. But, it's across the highway and hard to get there by car so we just bike to the pedestrian overpass and walk from there.
We always buy it unmixed so that the fish won't get soggy. That's the Pla Duk (catfish) in the bowl. It's deep fried and comes out like a crisp sponge.
First you add the peanuts and peppers.
Then the shredded mango.
Then the sauce.
Mix it all up.
Put out some rice and greens.
Enjoy.
Tonight we got this lovely little cakes for only ten baht each. The Yam Pla Duk Foo costs 40 baht and the rice 10 baht per bag. Great meal for only 70 baht.
