Best and Worst Sandwiches In Bangkok

And now on to sandwiches. Why is it so hard to get a decent sandwich in Bangkok?

    Even Cambodia has better sandwiches.

From what I have tried, here is my list of the best and worst sandwich places:

Best: Dukes (and serves more than sandwiches)
    Worst: Subway

I presume you're not a fan of pulled, dry pork with sugar?

Au Bon Pain if your looking for a good sandwich at a reasonable price. Lot's to choose from in clean shops all around Bangkok. I like the smoked chicken club.

Nothing worse than Foodland Pattaya where they put that horrible yellow American mustard in every sandwich including smoked salmon.

^They have smoked salmon sandwiches at Foodland? I have to agree, Foodland's sandwiches are the worst. But it is the salad creme that they put on everything that I hate.

I fully agree. The tuna cheddar melt is perhaps even better...

But, to the OP: if you think that Subway are the worst sandwiches in BKK then I'm very confused indeed; never tried 99% of Thai sandwiches, or do you like the sweet mayonaise and overkill?

Try the sandwiches at Central Chidlom Supermarket on the ground floor. Absolutely fantastic and they start knocking them out at about half price at about 5pm.

The ABP sa-moke chicken c'ub rocks, great sandwich.

And as other gentleman of good taste have noted, the sammiches at the Landmark are really good, particularly fond of the tuna melt, and while they are a minor splurge the portions are good, too.

Is it old fashioned to expect butter on a sandwich these days, or does it go against some religion ?, remember my only time at subways butter was an issue.
