Peppers Bakery & Cafe, Ubon Ratchatani

Thought it was time to share with you all what has been keeping me busy over the last month or so.

My wife and I in partnership with another couple recently purchased Tony's Bakery.

We closed it down for a few weeks while we renovated, found new staff and implemented a new menu. We opened for business yesterday under the new name of Peppers Bakery & Cafe.

I won't waffle on anymore so will let some photos tell the rest of the story.

News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.

Looking great. And those criosants are bloody cheap.

If only I was living in Ubon.

Best of luck with it. Looks like a nice place to chill.

Print some labels out rather than hand writing them as they look pants.

Nice place, well done! Reminds me a bit of the kiwi cafe in Khon Kaen. They make most of their money from local yuppie types, rather than farangs, I wonder if you might see the same thing there?

Seems a bit upmarket for Nakhon Nowhere, the local yokels might find it a bit intimidating, although I'm sure the Thais will like it though

Sounds great gkbkk, your order will not be a problem but I will need to swap your crumpet order for home made english muffins if that is okay

Agree 100%. Will be buying a printer any day and should have that problem rectified soon.

Early trade is suggestion about 70% Thai and 30% westerners.

Hi Jet, before posting a menu I would prefer to get permission from the mods as although of course I was thinking of promotion when I started this thread it was also to bring friends up to date with what I have been doing, not just promoting it.

    Memock,

I spoke to a friend of mine who lives in Patio outside of Yasothon and often makes the trip in to the airport to pick up visitors, I told him about you opening. He loved Tony's,all but one thing. He did not open early enough to catch the 1st flights in/out of Bangkok. He reckoned a sign outside saying "breakfast" would catch the punters going to /coming from the airport. I can understand you are knackered at this time, but it might be some to think about! He might have been one of your customers today!!

    Just a thought, Good Luck.

Ahhh so it was you Thai Pom who passed on the good word - many thanks!

Your friend came in for breakfast this morning after dropping friends off at the airport. He was very happy to hear that we open at 7am.

To prove that great minds think alike the large red banners arrived last night and went out side first thing this morning with one of them saying 'breakfast' must have been just as he was driving past.

^ I demand a menu! Understand your sentiments, tho, Memock, but hey, don't be shy, show the folks what you're offering. And then us dumbo critics can offer suggestions.
Happy to hear the first few days are going so well.
