Rut and Lek seafood rest, Yaowarat/Soi Texas

of course, I will do a report when I go there in a few weeks time, but I was wondering if anyone could help with the location of Soi Texas since it's not on any of my maps. This is a street restaurant that sets up at that junction every evening, supposedly with excellent food and even a picture menu for thickos like me. Hoping Teak Door will be more fruitful than other avenues

I think your best bet (unless someone knows for sure) is to take a taxi down there in the early evening and ask around. Local motocy taxi chaps should know. 'Soi Texas' is certainly not a signposted name of any of the streets in Yaoworat. Is it near any landmark, then I could perhaps help a bit more?

I have found out it's called Soi Texas cos there is a parking garage there called Texas, but it also goes by the name Soi Phadung Dao. All the online maps and my bus map are crap on detail, but I think it's towards the Wat Traimtr end.

^ Wallace gave me the map (on a CD). It's the best one available for Bangkok at the moment.
