    The Pirates cove, Chiang mai

Now, this is a great restaurant.
It bloody well ought to be, our very own food afficiando Frisco Frankie invited me down there, in spite of the worst case of bronchitis that I've ever seen on a guy under the age of 57.

The food is superb, the atmosphere eclectic, just reallu nice and good value to boot.

I would wholeheartedly recommend it to any of you lot.

There was a chicken thing for starters.
it comes with sauce, but I think FF wanted none cos he wanted to put lots of tabasco on it.

They got both really good Thai food and really good western food.
Frankie tells me the bacon cheese burger is better than any he ever ate.
we didn't eat one though because i wanted one of these tom yam dishes...

i really liked this one and i am very fussy about my tom yam.

the atmosphere is excellent and there are some nice people knocking around.

The piece de resistance is this wonderful tiramasu that the owner who spent a while in Italy compared to the real thing.
I don't know if it tastes like the real thing because i never lived in italy but it was rather delicious and cost only 45 baht a slab.

I think you will find that they are fried chicken legs, with this new farming technique Thai farmers don't have to resort to battery farming and also the chickens get bigger a lot quicker, although it has been said that chopping off the legs of live chickens and then keeping them propped up agfainst each other for another 6 months might be a bit cruel.

he got nice simple website at Western Food | Good Food in Chiang Mai | Chiang Mai Thailand there's a map with English, Thai and Japanese languages on the site.

The Owner and I share a birthday week, we were discussing a little birthday party early next month, we'd had a few shots and I'm not sure what we decided on (if anything).
