And especially when you explain it to them that all at the table came together, to eat together at the same time and be finished and leave togather and hopefully all the food would be served together and not part of it after you had finished and paid the bill and still food that had not been served..

But it has never worked, even tho they had agreed on such a plan.

So we have a deal worked out now that works perferctly..
We stay home,, eat better food at the same time and I know that my fucking hands have been washed within the last 96 hours.

    This is interesting.
My wife used to be a manager in a 5star hotel so I asked about serving all the meals together.

She said they held back serving so that each table could be served together.
BUT.... only for American, UK, French, German and Ozzies.

Looks like we are in a minority

We should swap. Rice comes 10 seconds after I order. The pat pong garee gai comes along 10 minutes later. I don't mind cold rice all that much, especially with a hot curry, and understand that these people has been dumbed down to buffalo level since their birth, so no biggee.

Sit. Enjoy. While imagining what the hot waitress' snatch tastes like.

No, we are raised as it is rude and bad manners to run to the table and start eating before everyone else is seated and served, then we may start to eat
But the average Chairman Mao is so inconsiderate and ignorant of proper manners in society that he most likely starts to snarl and slobber like a wild dog whenever around a table of food.

You do realize that we were discussing the diners sharing each dish, as is the Eastern culture... don't you?

Most westerners are so selfish and ignorant that this concept is simply beyond them. Obviously you included. You really never should of left the good ol' US of A...

That will at least mean you eat in courses, but you've still got the problem that whoever you are with, well their meal will arive at random intervals compared to yours. Frankly I've given up, and just give it a 'mai pan rai' shrug.
Yes, I do that, but at Sizzler they have a salad bar so if you start eating off of it before ordering the wait staff gets their panties in a wad and start jumping up and down. They have a decent salad bar which is really the only reason I go.

My misses used to wind shit up out of me.
As we were sitting down at the table she order what she wanted. I'd sit there looking through the wine list and her fokin food would arrive. . . Result. . .

We don t eat out together anymore.

I might agree with you, but when you're eating at Sizzler you aren't eating an Eastern meal from an Eastern Menu; you're eating Western platters with a meat and vegetables from a Western menu. It isn't buffet style.

Maybe go somewhere with western waitresses if you need to be served in a western manner.

Why expect locals to throw off a life's worth of cultural norms and givens in order to serve in a bizarre, nonsensical manner.

No we were not, we were talking about service scattered out over an hour and eating at a table like civilized people at SIZZLER..
I do not go for sharing any disease, viral or bacterial,, you stick your spoon from your mouth into my plate of grub and I will knock you fucking head into the next booth.
You do not drink out of my glass, nor do I use the comunal glass at the water cooler in the hospital waiting room either, nor do I set on a mat out in the back yard with plates of chuck scattered about with one and all setting around eating out of all the bowls and plates while dogs and chickens wander around the area.
No wonder you post such bullshit,, you have a brain damage.

As you should, disgusts me too. If you're in a halfway decent Thai restaurant with halfway decent people all the dishes should come with their own serving spoons/forks. People should use those spoons to put food on their own plates and then use their own forks and spoons to eat from their own plates.

A little bit of lateral thinking will alleviate the blood pressure of many posters- ask the waitress to bring the food at the same time.

And the customer has declared his bizarre demands to the waitress, given that it is far from the cultural norm?

I think it has something to do with being salaried to attend to the needs and requests of customers.

And when they made the mistake of bringing the dishes one at a time (as is their norm), what did you do?
