    Best non check-bin eating places

I am so ferging bored of saying "check bin", "geb dang" and all that crap twice per day, waiting 5 minutes to be noticed, another 5 minutes for the bill to arrive, and another 5 minutes for the change (ok, not always that slow, but often), then umming and ahhing about whether the peasant waiter deserves or needs a tip

    Recently I've been eating in

    YAAM SAAP

    TARSIAM

    CHESTERS GRILL

    SANTA'S (GREAT TASTING GIFTS!!)

And the occasional Food Court (Paragon, Central Chit Lom, and Emporium are nice)

    Any other recommendations.

In four plus years I have NEVER eaten at a Chesters. Goin' for a lifetime of ignorance there.
Some food courts are dynamite others shit. The one at Tops at Kad suan keaw is gret the tops at the airport robinson the worst. Used to like the food court at Siam Center, But only because they had decent Kao Soy joynt.
For a quick bite I like the market stalls or small noodle shops. If I have a tough time getting noticed with the polite "check bin" I just stand up and head to the door. This gets noticed every damn time.
Bein' polite is all well and good, but when it's time to be fuckin' rude, be fuckin' rude. Life's too fuckin short to worry about this shit too much.

I too have never been in a Chesters. Both places I know that have Chesters also have Sizzler. Hmmm..... Okay kids you win. Plus at the Sizzler I frequent I get two for one anytime on the combo plates.

is Chesters as bad as sizzler?

I once had a girl proudlty take me to Sizzler for dinner....it was fucking awful....

Then I went there a couple of times with people for lunch, it gets worse each time....now I flatly refuse to go in.

My missus is in london for 2 weeks, so far I have avoided food by phone, just to prove I'm not lazy. I haven't cooked anything other than 2 tins of soup, but at least I'm active enough to go out to a restaurant....

I like Fuji. Good food, decent prices, well trained staff, incredibly clean and good service. We go about once a week. There's one in The Mall here in Korat. We often order the Tonkatsu set. Comes with the pork cutlet, soup, rice, salad, etc., plus a fruit plate and coffee or tea for dessert. This is 110 baht.

Each time I read one of this guys posts I wonder is he really as big a twat as he leads us to believe, or is he just a nerdish type who emulates a twat online but in real life he's OK, although still a nerd?

Well Smeg matey, You do come across as a negative person, you have not got any helpful or postive comments its just all blocking and flaming. Maybe its just that big chip on your shoulder prevents and innovative or constructive thought. Your only mission in life seems to be to piss on everbody else, wether its dismissing a waiter trying to earn an honest living as a "peasant" or rushing off to print to pour shit on Marmite before you have actually put your brain is fully in drive. Your posts have no hint of creativity, you seem to be a poor sad little person who cannot get to grips with the fact that some of us like it here and have a excellent lifestyle as well as doing quite well financially.

the waiters/waitresses make crap money. they will always get a tip from me unless they have been really rude or something.

    CHESTERS GRILL

    SANTA'S (GREAT TASTING GIFTS!!)

    And the occasional Food Court
Now that's much more upscale than a "check bin restaurant".
