    Food and Drink in Ayutthaya

This place is actually called Food and Drink and is in Ayutthaya, I soon learned that it was a Muslim place when they told me they didn't serve beer, the restaurant is quite nice apart from everyone gets a view of the toilet door, and also gets the chance to listen to the loud grunts and straining noises, first off I was gonna goto the 29 steak house, this place has food starting at 29baht per plate, but their sign did put me off a bit.

Now outside Food and Drink they have a great big sign in English to attract the potential farang customers, unfortuneately the menu is in Thai only but does have some nice pictures of food dishes, so I opted for the chicken pepper steak with a nice healthy salad for a whole 59baht, and believe it or not I couldn't finish my meal, no, unfortuneately it wasn't because there was so much food on the plate, it was because once I had eaten half the salad I realised there was an ants nest in it, yep there must have been 30 ants left in my salad, I really have no idea of how many of them I had eaten, I got to admit I did feel a bit queasy about that, bloody ants crawling around inside me, anyway the place is aircon and if your lady likes eating live ants she will love it here.

Some other nice links for places in Ayutthaya.

A weekend in Ayutthaya with Marmite and Gow

Wat Chaiwatthanaram Temple in Ayutthaya (Wat Chaiwatthanaram/Ayutthaya Temple)

Nice cheap Hotel with air etc in Ayutthaya

A Nice Restaurant on the River Banks of Ayutthaya (Kankitti Restaurant, Ayuttaya)
