Swimming is a great way of exercising, getting into 1 hour a day swimming routine is a great idea. Healthy for mind as well as every part of your body, and easy/quite good for the joints. Best of luck.

Whilst eating less may help, the real way to lose weight is by not eating high calorific foods so try to avoid all fats and sugars if you eat less calories then you will lose weight exercise hardly loses you any weight, but it does make you more healthy

| How much bread have you eaten in the last week????? Potato ??????? Rice ????? An interesting article on the web recently (also saw it mentioned on some daytime program) People that keep a dairy of everything they eat will lose more than twice percentage as those that don't while dieting. FWIW E. G.

| ^ Agree with Fast Eddie. Swimming is great exercise and little strain on your knees. You can also just get a li-lo and paddle about with your arms. Quote:
I like Megahorn's suggestions, too. Try to eat more in the morning and only a bit later in the day. One monastery I stayed at had meals at 8am and 11am. That's it. The chicks there trying to learn how to meditate (not) and lose weight always had crisps in their rooms and gorged on them at night. (We always heard the bag rustles). Bad. It doesn't take long to change your eating habits once you start. Just a bit of discipline. Good luck!
