| Has anyone heard of this stuff before? On my last night in Pattaya I was ended up joining some Aussies outside the Buffalo bar on 3rd rd and they were very happy. They offered me a drink and poured what looked like fortified white wine into a glass and mixed it with red berry green tea and it was not only delicious but it got me hammered. Not only did it get me hammered but it was only 25baht for a wine sized bottle. Not only was it very cheap, but it turned me into a fanny magnet, and a silicone breasted vixen I'd met in Walking Street earlier in the evening with hotpants that were so short they were more like a red denim thong - rang me up and demanded to meet me, asking if she could go home and snuggle with me as she was lonely. Needless to say I had a good time. I'm not quite sure what her line of work is but I told my new Aussie friends who were called Sato Steve, Sato Simon and Sato Greg that she was a union delegate for IBM and they said, "Cool" and we all clinked glasses. From the moment I discovered Sato, the night lasted until 6am - I got pissed and laid for a total of 45 baht and had no hangover. Maybe I just got lucky, anyway - here's to Siam Sato. |

| Does the shocking originality of 'Maybe your girl was a bloke' really justify three laughing smileys? I would have mentioned her stretch marks if I'd forseen such a predictable and adolescent KW'esque response. It's the sort of thing the Sato boys would laugh at. |

they cook up a batch of sticky rice, wash it so it doesn't stick together, then strain all the liquid off. then they add the "yeast". secret recipe stuff, and only this yeast works-i tried with brewers yeast and it doesnt work. after mixing it up a bit it is placed in a container and left to ferment for a few days, after which water is added, and you then have an instant, very sweet "rice beer" (sato), which increases it's potency, becoming less sweet and more bitter the longer it is left to stand. be careful where you buy this stuff. the thais tell me that some "brewers " will add a percentage of insecticide (the very dangerous and evil polydol, which is banned in most developed countries) to give the stuff more of a kick! | |
