I agree. I ended up here by chance, but the longer I live here the more I appreciate the advantages. No real tourist attractions so it doesn't attract all that looniness but you can pretty much get what you want and prices remain reasonable. I live ten minutes by car from the "city" but I can peddle my bike for five minutes and be in some wonderfully beautiful countryside.

I must try that restaurant. It's been on my list for some time but I go past that area rather than visit it.

The thread is about one particular restaurant but I mention that there are others serving reasonable farang food - or at least British pub food. One is the George & Dragon and the other is the Taj Mahal near Sima Thani (British curry, in the latter case

There's Friends Bar, of course, too. Robbie is very ill in a BKK hospital but Ducky battles on. A nice quiet place with a snooker table.

I have a feeling that the pic of S&C is not recent. It's up for sale if anyone wants it.

The pics of S&C were taken in January of 2007.

I've never been to Friends. It seems I always get there before Noon or on Wednesday....
