Beef Shawarmas, Pitas and Hummus at the Beirut Restaurant

Was over at the Plonchit Center picking up a few things at Villa Mart and we decided to have some Lebanese food at the Beirut Restaurant. The restaurant is located is located on the same floor as Villa Mart.

Looks really nice. I love that kind of food, but with the demise of Pasinee it's no longer available here in Korat, AFAIK.

Great job of photography by the way.

I doubt it, no. I am looking at their carry out / delivery menu and they list soft drinks and juice.

I order from them often, online

Last time I got sick, for eating too much, not because of the food itself

yeah, looks very nice, always ordered for take away, but that might change. It's in Soi 2, isn't it ?

^Yup, when I'm in BKK, I order often from them for home delivery, and I know Marmite does too. Lots of Beirut fans here.

A few months back. There was a long standing feud between Mike and one of the customers over a joint business deal (importing Beer Lao) that went bad. I gather there was sufficient anti-Mike sentiment to force him out of business. But, I'm not really privy to the details and hadn't actually been to Pasinee for over a year. (Perhaps you've gathered that I don't get out much....)

    ChefsXP.com - NO mark-up food delivery

    The only way to go.

Food by Phone is a rip-off.

Marmite, they don't deliver all the way to your house though........just a lunchtime delivery at your work right?

foodbyphone has zones and different charges for zones. I haven't used chefsxp yet but Marmite says they're great.

Not sure who delivers all the way out to Ladprao?

    Wrong.

They deliver ANYWHERE in Bangkok for 60 Baht. It might take more than an hour though, and I tip more for delivery to Lad Prao.

Oh I just had a pretty decent feed here today. Only think I'd say is avoid the thing on the humus menu that has croutons and pine nuts in it. Other than that very tasty food.

Haven't used Food by Phone since I moved out of Sukhumvit almost a year ago.

My diet has improved substantially now I have a kitchen and do my own cooking again!

Too many substandard restaurants on Food by Phone and ChefsXP IMO.
They seem to get away with poor Western and non-Thai cuisines in Bangkok though, anywhere else and they would have closed down long ago.

Good review chi, I've been wondering about that place. I'll check it out next time I'm in the neighborhood. Is there anything someone can recommend that stands out on the menu? Great hummus presentation btw.
