Raining here. Ms. B's got the car. To wet to walk out or bike so I had a smoothie: two bananas, two spoons of malt powder, a little peanut butter and some milk. It would have been better with a little rum.

Well, my liquid lunch was augmented by a wonderful supper: Khao Soy with an appetizer of moo dadiaow and a large bottle of Singha.

Well, they may well call them 'sangas' in Convictland, but Her Majesty calls them 'sarnies'.

"Phillip dear. Would you be so kind as to pass me another sarnie, innit."

    See!

Reminds of the first time I visited a friend in Brisbane. I was about to go to sleep when he uttered: "If you get a bit peckish just bung a rissole in the micro."

I hadn't a clue what he was trying to say.

Worst culture shock I ever had was landing in Sydney after 13 months in Asia. Couldnt really understand a damn thing or order food, as it was all the rhymes and slang time back then. Damn Oz dollar was stronger back then as well I gave them a buck and they gave me back 88 cents.

This is embarrassing to write, but it's the truth. Our usual lunch spot was closed today so Ms. B and I decided that we'd check out the PTT station that's a few K from our house on the road to Khon Kaen. Now I like kuaytiaw, but no one around here does a very good job of it. I'd ridden by the PTT station on my bike and was what looked like decent kuaytiaw moo nam tok. So, we both got a bowl and it was delicious and only 25 baht. (Sen lek for her, sen yai for me.)

So, there you have it. Gourmet lunch at the "PTT Park", Korat.

    Green chicken curry from 7/11!

I've just bought a lump of cheese and a loaf of decent bread. Should I stop at 3 small toasted sarnies or just eat the whole loaf? Apart from the curry, that's all I've eaten today and I'm a bit peckish.

But, that's three straight lunches from 7/11. Is that why you have two microwaves?

^ I didn't even get to use one of our 2 microwaves. I was at the office.

So, should I eat the whole loaf or not?

I bought a loaf of yummy French bread from Yamazaki today and a pack of delicious pepper ham. I stopped at half a loaf. Oh, yeah, I added tomato and some nice brown mustard.

But, after the 7/11 curry and no breakfast, you might just want to eat the whole damn thing.

It was a rhetorical question. But, I should talk. After lunch I went to Swensen's and had a big chocolate sundae, followed by a huge ham sandwich for dinner and then a big snack of nam nua (Vietnamese pork sausage) with the family just as I was about to nod off.

    81 kilos for me....
