Well today was Garlic Bite Hotdog day, at 12 baht it is a bargain, you may notice this time I actually used the 7/11 salad bar just for you lot, fok I don't eat salad but I forced it down, I even used their sauces, what a mess, all over everything it was, still it gave the salad some flavour.

The garlic hotdogs are quite nice, a bit tough and dry, and they do tend to repeat on you, obviously not something you would eat at lunch time in a normal country otherwise it would destroy any sexual chances you may have got that day, but in the land of somtam your breath will be no worse for wear than the average whore down at your local beer bar after work.

Had a few nachos with this hotdog

^^ Are the nachos also from 7-11?

I get a 'foot long' sometimes and get the good lady to chop it all up and then place it in a bag with loads of cucumber and a variety of sauces.... Good scran when pissed and goes down easy...

Also get a pack of sliced fake meat from there and nosh on down straight from the packet.... They have some fake moist meat with bits of chilli through it... Not that nice but I keep on buying it anyway...

Do you like the crab sticks?... I'd like to see a photo of a crab stick...

Yep, I like crab sticks but not sure what they could be eaten with, anyway got a few more hotdogs to get through and then it's onto their lovely pizzas, I don't eat dimsum or that other crap they sell.

Anyway, why exactly do you want to eat farang food in Thailand?
Except if you're a"tourist" that is....

You don't have to be a tourist to enjoy food form where you come from.... And show me a Thai that doesn't love these hotdogs from 7-11...

Thai food is great but sometimes the farang stomach requires some unhealthy stodge as a balancer...

I always thought it was the other way round.

Tourists like to try all the jungle food and 'long-timers' try to eat proper food as much as possible.

i am just worried that despite my advanced warnings dd is going to move onto the pizza. I was thinking that the risky "burning the roof of the mouth" syndrome could possibly occur but then by the time he has cooked it, put it on a nice plate, positioned it in the correct lighting, found his camera, found his batteries, worked out which way the batteries go in and taken the picture he should be fine.

Where do you live? All the 7-11's & Family Marts here (HH) only microwave until that lovely state of lukewarm on the outside/chilled in the middle. I'd welcome getting my mouth burnt - it might reduce the risk of salmonella or E-coli.

I must confess that last week was a junk food week for me, because I felt like pigging out, and I had a huge feast of a filet-o-fish, large fries, and a Carribean prawn burger from Mickey D's.

I felt awful for about 3 days.

The thread is about cheap farang food, not cheap Thai food. We all know where to get cheap Thai food.
