Avoid the beef stew at the Offshore

Avoid the beef stew at the Offshore, unless you want aching gums trying to chew beef that resembles old chewing gum that you can never bite into.

Man, that was painful, I gave up after two lumps, just ate the carrots and potatoes and oredered a bacon sandwich, which was made with Danish bacon, so now I am funding anti-Islamic terrorism.

If you want to make the real thing in the comfort of your own home, here is the recipe:

    • 2 pounds cubed stewing beef
    • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    • 3 tablespoons margarine
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 4 carrots, sliced
    • 3 stalks celery, sliced
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 2 bay leaves
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon white sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
    • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
    • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
    • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
    • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 medium sized soi dog turds
    • 4 cups water
    DIRECTIONS:
    1. Dredge beef cubes in flour until evenly coated.Melt butter in saute pan and saute coated beef cubes until evenly brown.
    2. Transfer beef to slow cooker and add onions, carrots, celery, garlic, bay leaves, salt, sugar, pepper, paprika, cloves, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce. Pour in water and stir.
    3. Cover and cook on Low 10 to 12 hours or on High 5 to 6 hours. Serve hot!!

On my way out a cockney bloke was offering his rent a chick beef stew saying how nice it was, and promptly ordered " a slab of cod and a beef stew " I told him about the stew and its rubbery consistency and he thanked me, then after I left I heard him say " go on then I'll try the stew "

I think, as of now, I'll avoid the place altogether. I have given them too many last chances.
