    Bus Stop

I've got a mate coming to Thailand soon and wants to know what the Bus stop is like these days.
Is it like it used to be or has it changed.

As far as I can tell the buses are more on time than before, but because of the price of oil the price has gone up.

    Hehe.

Went there last week. Finished the front construction. Might be doing more out back - couldn't see really.

Don't quite get it though...added a econd floor but with all the columns and shit and poor design it seems to have less floor space than before. Looks more upmarket now. Not a lot of girls and I understand that those that are there are freelance waiting for their later night gigs to begin. ie. No bar fine.

    Good sports coverage still.

I rather liked the old place and I expect the new place will still pilfer New Guinea satellite.....worth a look just for the adverts.

Smeg if you think Thailand's a bit behind, you want to have a weekend in Port Moresby!

I was usually inebriated, then. I also ate the food. Everything is good when your buzzed.

The Bus Stop ain't bad if your into Aussie rules games (as Goddess said), and there is lots of room and open air.

A place to warm up, or keep going.

Aren't they a classic! That along with some aussie slob trying to teach his new fiancee (they met the night b4) the rules of cricket always gives me hours of entertainment.

I don't think the locals in Moresby could hack somebody like Smeg, or maybe they would, hack him to pieces that is.

    You're a gem GoW...

BTW went out with Marmers the other night to one of my favourite bars..thought i'd introduce him to some 'members' who are not on this board...he seemed quite impressed and wants to come back for more in-depth discussions...

sometimes...a little thoughtfulness would be appreciated!

I have had dinner a couple of times recently at Bus Stop.
I think that the weinerschnitzel and the fish and chips to be good value.
The food is as good there as it aways was. However I am unconvinced by the new structure.
I liked the old layout and was a regular patron.
I prefer to sit outside and watch the comings and goings.
Now it seems like the building is too big for the lot and the available space has ben squeezed up to the point i feel a little uncomfortable sitting there.

The girls seems as before the usual mix of the good the bad and the ugly but overall service is fine.
I would be interested to hear whether it is making more money now than before the construction

The foods still good, sports galore, but it seems service has dropped off since the renovations.

Most of the new girls look like they've been chasing parked cars and are quite pissed off about it.

I never really thought much of the Bus Stop, anyway. Maybe I didn't spend enough time there...
