I've a pizza oven so I figured it be convenient if they wanted something quick and easy. I had this other stuff too, so yea. They wouldn't starve while here.

    I'm cool like that Jack.

Belittle me all you like. Tis nothing, really.

Cheers, now post one of your pies for our watering eyes.

You should have asked them to cook it for you too.

...the parma ham and spinach were added after the base had been cooked...a real taste and texture difference that I appreciated...

Each to their own, tomcat, and I can see what you mean with the textures, but not really the taste.

For me, that's just a sandwich on warm bread, albeit nicely presented. Pide, lahmacun, manakish, pizza etc...it's cooked and much better for the taste.

Nice ham, cheese, salad toasted sandwich but pizza? No!

I'd hope you downed the pint of house vinegar down in one, it'll make your butty taste better

Pretty much like a supermarket then?

Chez Chitty - Stoke's number 1 Italian restaurant - does a roaring trade in a number of regional Italian speciality pizzas: Pizza di Morrisonsa, Pizza di Tescoa, Pizza di Icelanda...

Nope...Pizzas only. They just don't bake them. That's your job.
I thought it would never fly...but they're still going after about 6 or 7 years.

Just out of curiousity we've tried a couple of their pies and they're actually not that bad.

    I won't breathe a word of it...

I looked em up and they are nationwide...scattered widely. None in the NE, that I could see on their map of locations. Hdqtrs in Vancouver, WA

Was going to mention that their prices aren't much lower compared to the places that bake it for you.

Being serious for a mo, there's that much food in the US, you'd be mad to stick to crappy pizzas.

I saw someone on here say they couldn't get anything to eat apart from fast food chain crap when they were there. Nonsense! When we were there we were eating a home-cooked brekky, Ethiopian for lunch, Tex-Mex for dinner and then a Korean BBQ on the way home! And then we'd do something completely different the next day!

Cracking place for food, the US. Like the UK in that regard if you want choice.

There is that obsession with fast food though. I'd say every 3rd ad on the telly was a fast food gaff. What's that all about when you have the choices you have?

plus it's a car culture here and all the fast food joints have drive-thrus. McDs has even added a second lane in many of their locations.

    Define decent.

Just about all the pizza places deliver. Other than that, slim pickings in my location. I suppose in the big cities it's much different.

^Been there once, won't be back. Disgusting.

Now you see why I'm trying to learn to cook...that and I'm not exactly a social butterfly.

I'm surprised that more of the "Mexican" restaurants don't get into the delivery game. But then again, cold refried beans wouldn't be good.

We came here a few times for takeout and the food has never failed. It's not the most authentic Italian food you can have, but it's definitely very good.
