villa food markets announce they have joined up with ICELAND to offer value for money products.never thought that iceland would be in the same league.as for value does that meen something costing a pound in the uk.would cost in thailand 150bht.
    look here,shoponline villamarket.com/shoponline/frozen/iceland.
are they looking to compete with makro and foodland.cant remember buying anything from iceland uk.other than frozen chips and yorkshire puds.

looking at icelands range, branston, oxo's,pataks, heinz, bisto, these i beleive are available now,but mc cains crinkle chips, legs and loins of lamb origin?prices are very competitive in the uk.eg.heinz baked beans 4 x 415gm.=2.50 pound.=105bht..branston pickle 720gm.2.20pound=86bht.Mc cains crinkle frozen chips 1.36kilo.2pound = 84bht.
what I would like to see is,SARA LEE full range of cheese cakes and fruit tarts.food land has a few sponges but I asked them if they were getting any other products just a shrug og the shoulders.
so it will be interesting to compare prices of icelands products with what we will see on the shelves.

Our local Villa has had a freezer section full of those Iceland frozen meals for the last 2 or so months. Relatively cheap, 85-115b, lasagna, cottage pie, spaghetti meatballs etc. Says meals for one on the box, and each one is half a kilo.

No wonder everyone at home is such a fat koont, I wittily remarked to no one in particular as I picked up my half dozen meal for ones.

I should actually buy one sometime, Armstrong still seems to be alive, so can't be as bad as suspected.

i looked at icelands range of frozen fish, but couldnt see kipper fillets/butter boil in the bag.
but if they will maintain the range at reasonable prices and not do what most have done over the past 10yrs.all well and good.
but anything thats not in a thai kitchen,eg.salted butter, branston pickle, baked beans, oxo cubes, bisto gravy, cod, good beef, bread, bacon, sausages,SPAM the price goes UP,UP,UP AND UP and its not the import tax.one eg.alrowie salted butter over 2yrs it gone from 80bht. to today 114bht.227gm.thats treble the price of anchor in the uk.and alrowie is produced HERE.

Not a sausage of Greggs in Villa Pattaya, got some Richmond sausages though

That all day breakfast is 169 baht, you can get a baht buster breakfast, cooked for you, bigger than that down the road in Retox for 99 baht

Some Sara Lee shit someone mentioned, you could get a cake from Svenssons for that.

Fuck Villamarket, In Pattaya- Siamburis, Siam Expat store and The Corner Shop all have it's measure.

Here's a visit to Siamburis this morning where you can see the prices are even cheaper than the UK

Ok so its a few months out of date, a few hundred boll weavils never killed anyone
