outrageous generalization probably based on the author's apparently limited experience...who's this "our" and who's this "we"?...

So if Americans only pretend to eat ethnic food, what do they actually prefer to eat, Chico?

Depends. If they are hard shells than that is purely American. Soft corn tortillas is south of the boarder. I got good taco trucks here.

I am sure that slick would like to have all those workers deported.

How Americans pretend to love ‘ethnic food’
using that term is just racism trying, to denigrate the American people, same happens in Britain, saying they don't have any identity
    ethnic

adjective. 1. pertaining to or characteristic of a people, especially a group (ethnic group) sharing a common and distinctive culture, religion, language, or the like
So ethnic food in America is American food.
Does the libtard author mean ethnic minority food or foreigners muck ?

Used to be a yakiniku restaurant in Kirkland ... expensive as fukc. Dang good though. Long gone now and yakiniku is one type of JN food difficult to find in the states.

TBH ... in my return experience most JN restaurants in the states are disappointing.

One of my fave dishes is katsudon and don't think I've ever found a good place for it in the states. Except maybe Hawaii.

Also, for some reason to me Chinese food in Japan is better than in the states.

I get the impression the author is trying to generate some kind of discussion along the lines of Americans won't pay more for 'ethnic' food because they think it's inferior, implying it is another example Americans are racist.

That's as far as I'm willing to do for you, as mentioned most of the food in modern British is French themed also.
I am capable of using google if required, but I asked you the question, not google. Do you have your own opinions or not?
Of course there have been a number of european influences since the British were conquered by the Romans, and others.
Modern British food has much more to it than centuries of diluted Gallic cuisine. If your statement were correct, the French diet would be more like the Brits, and it so clearly isn't.

    You started the thread, right?

Your thread indicates that Americans only pretend to enjoy ethnic food. It's something you thought worth posting, so most would assume you have an opinion on the topic.

As a self proclaimed chef, you must have an opinion on American dining opinions.

Could you express an opinion of the content you posted in the OP?

False. Indian food is expensive as fuck in the U.S.
Cheap as fuck in the UK, although the quality can be dubious in many places. An example of UK prices for the place I use on the rare occasions I eat Indian locally.

The main reason for the initial popularity of Indian restaurants in UK was that they could continue serving alcohol after the pubs shut at 11 pm.
