| Saraburi | Mexican Food Wondering if anyone knows of any good Mexican restaurants in BKK? Been to two of them (not in BKK). One in Samui - which tasted quite nice but sent a bit of a red flag when they have never heard of a quesadilla or taco! The second one in Phuket which tasted alright but not of great quality.... Every once and awhile I get the urge for Mexican food - any help? |

| Sunrise Tacos is pretty good, but not really a proper sit down restaurant, more of a take-away thing. Good food though - they have one branch near Asoke BTS and one in the Emporium Coyote on Soi Convent (Sala Daeng BTS) is probably the best sit-down, proper Mexican restaurant I've found. Good atmosphere in there for after work beers on a Friday evening too so good for drinking as well as eating. |

| there's one in nichada thanee, chaeng watana road. the food tastes good. the choice range is wide. the price is reasonable. try their magarita too! sorry, don't remember the name. anyway it's the only one mexican restaurant around there. just ask someone if you can't find it. it located just right before entering the estate. |

| Saraburi | ^ Thanks all. I have seen the take away place near Asoke but never tried it - remember seeing it at 6 am in the morning before doing a visa run and thinking I didn't want to eat tacos at that time in the morning after a night of drinking - not a great combo.... Should of thought that the Ambassador would have a Mexican Restaurant - they have a Salsa club there! Will try a few of them when I get back to BKK! |

| it's on the outside of the moat.....the name of the street escapes me...if you're inside the moat and walk through thapae gate and turn left, it's about a ten minute walk up the street (going against traffic)...btw, if memory serves, it's closed on mondays. another place that does mexican in cnx is 'the chiang mai saloon'...not nearly as good IMO, but tastes vary. enjoy. oh yeah, there's another place on loi kroh, but i thought it was crap. |

| as much as you'd like for me to buy you dinner, i won't be in chiang mai next weekend---although i hope to get back in september. however, you can definitely buy me dinner next time i'm in bkk. btw, i don't know if you like vegetarian food (or buffets), but if you do i'd definitely recommend the lunch buffet at khun churn. |

| Also in chiang mai is a place called Salsa Kitchen, located behind Chiang Mai Saloon 2 near The Irish pub, very authentic and much better than miguels I think. The servings all also quite big and all come with a big salad, extra sour cream and salsa |

| Miguels is located on Chaiyaphum Road in Chiang Mai. I'd pretty much given up on the thought of getting decent Mexican food in Thailand until I tried Miguels. I'll have to try Salsa Kitchen sometime though... |

| ^^ Correct, Señor Picos is in the Rembrandt. I ate there once, years ago. Thought it was okay if a little on the pricey side. I've seen others rave about it though so maybe I caught Señor Picos on an off night, or it was simply an off night for me! |
