I had a hot date with Frankie at the one near Mike's Burgers in Chiang Mai.
The food was good, but they haven't a clue how to do proper chips.

Where can you get good Tortillas in LOS?
Nice corn tortillas Thing the brand is "El Charro" small ones like you get on the taco carts and carnecerias perfect for a nice carne asada taco. I think food land may have 'em. if not, ask 'em who sells them in your neighborhood:

Anyone that orders a chicken burrito and can say their food is good is hardly an expert.Originally Posted by Marmite the Dog
They do just about the best Mexican I've ever had in Thailand though. I'm not sure that real mexican food would be all that profitable here though. most folks are looking for semi-decent tacos & burritos and refried beans & red rice. Miguels does that very well. If you're hungry try the huevos rancheros there.
I just heated up a few of the above mentioned tortillas and poured a couple of scoops of my black beans in a kind of bean/tortilla soup. Damn that was good!
I think Menudo and Pasole' would be a hit in LOS considering the amount of drinking goes on in the cities and the villages. Sunday morning treat.
Heard of Menudo for that but never seen anyone eating Pozole for a hangover, thats for a special late nite gig, specially if you use the whole pig head like it is supposed to be made.Originally Posted by The_Dude
dantilley,, want good mex grub, even better than Guadalajara??
Go to the NEW MECCA down at the very end of Main St. in Pittsburg calif. it be on your left going down,, now thats the best and I have eaten mex from Canada to Guatamala..
Ask Frankie..
Supposed to be the tripe in Menudo that does the trick on a hangover belly.
I don't think the Hominy in Pozole would set to well on a tender gut.
I was surprised to find a decent (not great, but decent for thailand) mexican restaurant in Ko Chang on my trip there a couple weeks ago. No idea of the name, but was close to the Plaloma cliff resort.
Heard the Blue Parrot bar in Pattaya does decent Mexican food. Anyone been there? Don't know exactly where it is but I think off of beach road.
Charlie Brown on Soi 11 Suk opens at 5:30 I think Tuesday to Sunday. It was Great! Just like in the US. Now run by a Brit who took Thai citizenship.
A very good Mexican place has recently opened. La Monita. bts Phoenchit. the left most lane next to Mahatun Plaza.
Senor Pico, Rembrant Hotel, soi 18.
Very nice, menu reasonable but you'll end up doing 3-4 grand on Heineken and tequilla.
LOS CABOS
Sukhumvit Soi 14, walk 50 inside to see it on the left... ( Asok BTS )
Very nice place, well decorated and solid furniture, prices not cheapest but no VAT or surcharge, price is what you see next to item, i always appreciate this...
It is actually the soft opening end of december, and at my first visit some items took a bit long to be done, the most annoying was the staff coming every 3 minutes telling it would be coming shortly, we did not care as we known it is not Mac Do...
Was good, will probably be very good in short...
I used to go once a week to the Mexican restaurant called Que Pasa near the International School of Bangkok.
They have Mexican, pizza, corn dogs, tasty burgers, Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, and the service is top nothc. The staff is always there to fill your soda - its free refills. Free chips and salsa with your meal as well. They have a play ground for the kids and you can buy pinatas for a birthday part as well.
Que Pasa Mexican Restaurant
Oh an Timba, if you are tuned in - I think this would be the best location for a place if you ever have a go at it again.
The place is crawling with farangs and it seems they have a bit of scrill in their pocket as well.
I have yet to be there for breakfast, lunch or dinner and the place not be packed out.
