Gonna be in Thailand in the next few days and was thinking about the first dish I'm gonna hit.

I reckon I've settled on pad prik gaeng moo khai dao.

Fuck me, I miss proper Thai food.

Man my wife makes this dish superbly. Probably my Favorite with fresh hot Khao Neuw to dip the sauce

There are so many great dishes.

Im the same with lao food. I like most of it but get bored with it real quick. Gotta have a mixture of lao and western. Fortunately theres plenty variety here. Smashed a curry for lunch yesterday and might do jap tonight.

Which is very difficult to find. Where outside of Chaing Mai and Chaing Rai have you found a real version? Cyrille knows of one in BKK but I cant remember where he posted it. Kao soi, is almost not Thai in preparation.. So damn good. Its nice how you add all the condiments to get the "real thing".

Noodle House in Siam Square, ao.

I ate this dish there many, many times as I worked in Siam Square for 6 years.

I've tried it at several places in CM, including somewhere supposedly famed for the dish, and it hasn't been anywhere near as good.

    There, I said it.

Not sure how to say the name but this was my go to place in Rangsit. It would be wise to make a reservation on the weekends as it gets busy. They are famous in the area for serving dishes that you can normally only get in Chiang Mai and other northern areas. I think a portion ran to 45 baht or so.
