Papa's Burgers - Hua Mark, Near ABAC

Papa's Burgers is the latest edition to this area's local burger joints.

It's located kitty corner from ABAC Hua Mark in a strip plaza. Though small, it's well set up and the service was great.

    Here's the menu...a cheeseburger for 89B....

We both decided on a cheeseburger with cheese fries and cheese corn as sides...

One thing that's not on the wall menu but on the paper menu is that all the burgers are come with chocolate sauce.

Me: Chocolate sauce! Please have my burger made with chocolate sauce on side. I immediately ran across the street and bought several cans of cheap beer which I sacrificed to the burger gods for this heresy.

My wife, being indifferent to the burger gods, had her's served with the chocolate sauce.

My burger arrived with sauce on the side....and sauce on the burger. I guess I was so shocked that anyone, ANYONE would dare put chocolate on a burger that I was unable to articulate myself properly.

The chocolate sauce was absolutely beyond anything I've ever had before. It was almost like a thick, spicy mole' and complimented the burger perfectly. While the burger was small (~120 grams) with the sides it made a nice meal.

The chef told me he worked in Japan and shamelessly stole the recipe for the chocolate sauce from there.

Cyrille, I can't accurately describe the flavors...it's almost like a chocolate flavored spicy ketchup, but with more depth.

I'm going back tomorrow and taste the sauce again with more attention paid to detail.

I've been to many Halal restaurants and two Halal burger places. They're generally pretty good. The lamb burger here at Fin Burger (Fin Burgers - Ramkhamhaeng Rd - Soi 4)
was among the best I've ever had, and that's sayin' something.

interesting setup, I like the style

but I would be worried about the cheap and shit ingredients use to create those burgers with the chocolate sauce to hide it all,

good burgers should only have mustard and tomato sauce, that's it

because at that price, it can only be shit ingredients. I know the price of wholesale ingredients, and these costs doesn't add up for a quality burger.

Ok, what's the price range for burgers in my neighborhood? I've posted up four burger places recently, recently being in the last year.

how long do you think those places are going to last if they sell shit or make a loss for every burger sold ?

question of time before you get really sick or they close down for not absorbing any more losses

you really believe in fairy tales,

Do you actually have a question about my experience at the restaurant or are you just posting generalizations seeking an argument?

Again, could you provide some context for your opinion? While I'm sure you're very familiar with pricing of some things here in Thailand, could you provide evidence of your opinion?

He is a fucking fairy. Plus he only posts to troll and instigate problems. The biggest piece of shit on the board. Has held that title through buttplug and dragonshit.

Does not have a clue about much in the world.

Yet as polite people, we should give him a chance to defend his opinions via his life experiences. That's the way great forums like Teakdoor work!

Dissenting angst and opinion towards how one takes their burgers is rather moot, as there's no veritable standard......certainly as such applies to food and most everything, actually.

Looking forward to your next exploratory burger joint review, Top.
