    Hemingways Jomtien

I have heard that Hemingways has a new place on Jomtien. Is it the same owners as the one recently closed in Bangkok does anyone know?

    Has anybody tried it yet?

    Cheers, TP

It's not a new place, it's the old Shenanigans in Jomtien. As for the owners, I heard it's the guys from The Sportsman and Robins Nest (Pattaya) who are behind it. I stuck my head in there about 2 weeks ago while they were remodeling and it looked nice, it was getting tired in there and needed a spruce up badly.

Anyway they're open now, and it's a good location that's easy walking distance from home so I hope it does well. Will call in for a few beers and a feed sometime in the next few days and maybe grab a few pics.

    Thanks Headworx,

Thanks for the update. You are right the Old Shenanigans was starting to look shabby and not busy enough to make money to maintain it. It will intesting to see how it turns out.

^Ok TP, here's a few pics to show what it's like now:

The new entrance. As you can see it's still a work in progress.

Outdoor beergarden and smoking sectionto the right. I like the Astro Turf style flooring in areas like this.

Same layout inside but with a new bar and furniture. I didn't get other photos inside because there were a few customers spread about enjoying their privacy.

They're still ramping up and have a very limited menu for now, so I tried the Lamb meatball kebab. Wouldn't get it again, Punch and Judy pub is where you go to get a good one of these with chips and a curry sauce in Pattaya. But I'll go back there in a few weeks when they've got a full menu to try a proper main-meal.

Then I felt like something sweet before heading home, so I stopped at Tinnies pie shop next door for a Custard Slice .

Anyway Hemingways is still in soft-opening mode right now but I look forward to trying it again (and often if the food's good) once they get their chefs and a full menu into gear.

Trying not to be rude but that place looks like a dump compared to the Hemingways that was knocked down in Bangkok.

^You're not being rude at all Dill. The Hemingways in your pics is clearly 10 times better than the one in mine. It's a shame that place was knocked down.
