I've only seen expensive farang food in Thailand, are there actually expensive Thai restaurants or expensive Thai foods?

yes..............
none.........
noodle soup used to be 20 baht now 30 baht.
How do you define "expensive"?
Is a 200Bt pack of farang cheese expensive and a steak for 450Bt in a restaurant?
There are Thai foods in the same category, also more expensive Thai restaurant meals are on the menu.
Go buy a Thai elite card there'll show you all the expensive places to stay eat and shop.
ml708; How old are you?
^^23. I've got older t-shirts.
^^Sorry. Got you mixed up with another newbie.
Plenty high end Thai resturants in Bangkok. Hard to keep the bill under 4k baht a couple.
Go into Emporiums new Emquartier, loads of nice restaurants in there. I prefer the Chinese at Four Seasons to be honest. The lemon chicken is to die for.
You can make a night out of it in there, if the Thai foods not expensive enough for you, there's a Jimmy Choo and Chanel you should unleash your Missus on whilst you marvel at the waterfall

Here's hoping that answer shuts the troll up.

Yes that is true. He looked through many old 'death books' for recipes and did learn his trade in Thailand. Some Thai food critiques mention that the food (at least the one in Nahm London) as having too many flavours at once and not being authentic, but whether that is the truth or not I wouldn't know. Have never eaten there. He has also faced some criticism for mentioning coming to Thailand in order to revive the Thai food scene. Controversial character really.
