Fin Burgers - Ramkhamhaeng Rd - Soi 4

It's been awhile so I thought I'd visit another burger place nearby.

FIN Burgers - Ramkhamhaeng Soi 4

We gave them a call to see if they were open and if they served beer. The guy on the phone said yes that they were open but they were a Halal restaurant. I asked if it was OK if we brought beer with us and he said "Halal" which I took to mean yes.

We didn't sit inside but instead sat in their outdoor area as far away from the door as we could due to the wife insisting I bring beer. They were cool with it.

So we had a look at the menu...I saw they have lamb burgers and had a little accident in my pants...

The wife chose the cheese bbq burger, and I got the double lamb burger, loaded. If I'm lying, I'm dying I almost asked for bacon on my burger.

The wife ordered extra fries and onion rings.

    The Cheese BBQ burger:

The wife devoured it like a starving, drunken chav goes after a kebab. I was honestly worried about her accidentally biting off her fingertips.

She really liked it. The onion rings and fries were store bought frozen shite, so points off for that, but the fries were served in quantity, the order of onion rings resulted in four rings. It gave us a bit of a chuckle.

My Leaning Tower of Lamb Burger was up next:

What you can't see is that there's another patty hidden under the top part of the bun...a double patty lamb burger for 150B.

It was frigging wonderful. Perfectly seasoned with a touch of rosemary (copying Burger Bros?) it was a struggle to get it finished, but due to my giant gut, American willpower and the love of my wife, I was able to accomplish the task.

    In and out for 500B.

It's a seriously halal place, the only clientele I saw were members of our Muslim community so keep that in mind when visiting.

I can't wait to have an excuse to go back. That lamb burger was superb.

I couldn't believe the price, either. I would have guessed twice as much.

Burger joints are springing up all over the place. I found one in the Town in Town area a while back called Burger Bros. Very similar to this one. Lamb burgers, Wagyu burger, chili dogs, onion rings - the works.

    Did you mean this one....

Burger Bros (Burger Bros - Phra Rama 9, Soi 40/Hua Mark Rd, Soi 25)

Burger Bros is our go-to spot as it's just around the corner from us and we enjoy sitting in their little garden area.

Same but different location. The one I found was located on the big soi behind the Town in Town Hotel on the Ramindra Hwy. This is a very cool neighborhood with lots of bars and trendy eateries. A lot of farangs live in this area who teach in a big international school nearby. I loved the condiment bar with all kinds of sauces. I had the onion rings and they were fantastic. I also had a cheeseburger and it was great.

All made in house...Burger Bros is great stuff, no doubt.

I've not made it across the khlong in a while. One of my friends had a Mexican place over there once upon a time...

Kiwi's are a proud lot, they don't mind putting what their girlfriends up on the menu.

Very impressive price tag on that lamb burger, though. Mind you, are you sure it was lamb and not something else - like rat? Or maybe an amalgamation of the pair. A ramb burger?

    Thanks for the review, Topper.
