Greek/Turkish.
Fresh salads, cheese, spiced meats, fresh vegetables, hot pita bread, various dips. I have to go to Chiang Mai or Phnom Penh to get my fix.
Korean Bul Kalbi and Kim chee and salads are mine, but then I could eat with MTD too.
Indian and Mexican, but it makes me fat so living in Thailand is good.
favourite here are nam tok moo and moo bing and khao neow.
Korean stuff is ok, but I always stick to Bip bin Bop or Mandu Gook with a 'Korean Pizza'.
Koreans always go on about how spicy kim-chee is, but I've yet to eat a spicy one yet (sadly).
NOT THAI FOOD.
I wanted a Chinese eggrol, got some little round eggplant in green curry with chicken claws.
Take him to KFC... not.
8 months later I begged for a steak at some place called "The Steak House" that I do not like.
Holy Basil !!!?
I make a nice beef stew but had to do it with pork.
May I beg please noodles again??
No Pizza costs to much. Almost cried the first time but boy it tasted good the last time I had it- peperoni and onion of course at Pizza Company.
They couldn't figure out what onion was the first time-came with just peperoni.
A place for lunch on Sampraow Rd. on the right heading toward Ring Rd. Who knows the name? Has a man frying pumpkin, dough and bananas out front and THE MAN grilling pork satay served with peanut sauce, cukes and onoin -TRY THE YELLOW NOODLES THERE!! A bit hot, sweet and sour with crushed peanut-very good- and they have some fried wantons.
Best for the money 5b a bag of fried banana, pumkin etc.. 25b noodles and a good portion of pork satay for 40b but best to spend 80 on that one.
Sorry no recipies yet for Thai food. But I can do Italian very well...later
