| The Dog | 80baht Spaghetti Pattaya Thappraya Road Well I had vowed never to return to this place as after about 10 years of charging 80baht for spagetti they upped the price to 90 baht, but last night I relented and returned to savour their fine foods. This place is on the way to Jomtien from Pattaya and is at Jomtien Nivate where the famous Jade bar is, anyway there was about 30 customers there so it was pretty busy, service was really fast and the food as good as usual, here's a pic of my carbonara, I think it was about 130baht. Pattaya Restaurant Guide There are 2 ways to eat spagetti, the chop it up into little bits way, which I might add is frowned upon in Italy, or the twirl it up way, but believe it or not there is more to this than meets the eye, now I twirl it up and it has strands hanging down which I just slurp in whilst getting bits all over my face, a professional twirler gets it into a nice round ball of spagetti and therefore doesn't end up with half his meal on his chin, here's a proffesional twirler Now that is a class act. Next up was the escallopes, I thought he had ordered snails, but actually they are thin slices of pork cooked in a wine sauce, I got to admit I wish I had ordered them 4 main dishes and 2 drinks for about 500baht, now that cant be bad Edited to add daytime picture.

| The Dog | Well I nipped down there again last night to show random chances how the city boys live, obviously out in the jungle where he lives they don't have too many Italian restaurants and he mainly eats insects and other stuff like that, well he said there were a lot of insects in Nakon Sawan so I assume thats what he eats, we got there about 7pm and we had to wait to be seated, the place was absolutely packed out, after a couple of minutes we joined a table, the nice old chap who sat next to RC gave him his bread, I think he could understand English and heard RC mention about nicking his bread, you know how violent these Welsh can get, got to admit yet another superb meal at bargain prices. rc's Lassagne, which I nicked some of and was great. ![]() and my spagetti bolognaise. |

| Senior Member | DD if you really must eat spaghetti you might as well learn to do it properly...switch fork and spoon if you're right handed, take some strands in the fork, not too many to begin with, and wind it against the spoon, yes the inside of the spoon, that's a nice lad, thereby creating a lump of spaghetti with at worst an easily manageable strand or two hanging down. Otherwise stay in Phillistine mode and gross out your dining companions. |
