Burger Bros - Check out their site HERE......
A couple of weeks ago I went by this place on my way to work and I thought after the wonderful burger I had at Papa's, I'd give this place a whorl.
I was frigging amazed. Simply, amazed.....
Imagine a kind of retro burger place in suburban America and this joint is exactly what comes into my mind. It's comfortable, open and there's also outdoor dining as well.
And any place that has Marilyn up on the wall like this gets my vote....
First thing we did is go to the counter and order....ain't no frigging waiters/waitresses here. If you want it, get your ass up and order it.
The menu is very simple, but that's a really good thing....rather than having 50 things on the menu, they keep things easy so the quality stays high.
I got the Waygu burger (300B) and the wife got the beef burger (80B). Yes, that's right, a cheeseburger for 80B.
The Waygu -
Cooked medium, it was nice and juicy. Nothing to write home to mom about, but a damn good burger. The bun was store bought, but not too bad.
The Beef Burger -
What an surprise this burger was! It was great tasting, seasoned well (though a bit too much rosemary IMO) AND ONLY 80B!!!!!!!!!
It was juicy, no taste of filler and completely handcrafted (more about that).
Simply put, for the money, there's not a better burger in Bangkok that I've tasted.
Now that the burgers are out of the way.......
The sides were bar none, some of the best I've had in Bangkok. The onion rings were seasoned perfect and fried such that there was a crispy tasty crust covering the rings 'o joy.
The potato croquettes were also outstanding. Perfectly seasoned mashed potatos, rolled in seasoned bread crumbs and fried so there was the exact contrast between the crunchy outside and the soft inside that defines a croquette.
I had a chat with one of the guys there and they do everything...butcher and grind their own meat, bbq their own chickens and make their own sausages for the chili dogs.
Its a great place and I recommend it highly. The care and quality that goes into their food coupled with the prices isn't something I've found elsewhere in Bangkok.
