Pattaya 119 baht bbq buffet place

    Cheapskates ahoy......

They call this a steamboat restaurant in Singapore - except over here its only for soup - you cant grill stuff on the top.

119 baht all you can eat - including prawns and cockles etc. Damn in Singapore you cant even get a plate of cockles for that. Even if you do change your money to Singapore dollars before ordering.

So spent a good 3 hours here.....I am not really good at Pattaya geography but I am told its in Pattaya 3rd road. Dont know the name of the place as the signboard is in some hieroglyphics that I am not understanding.

    Pattaya Restaurant Guide

The cooking apparatus is filled with hot charcoal or something. Then they put some kind of liquid in for your soup (I assume it was just water but who knows)

Then order a bottle of beer and drink it whilst your Thai friend (if you have one) goes and gets the food and cooks it. Then you order more beers and drink and eat while your Thai friend (if you have one) continues to cook and eat. Repeat until you cant drink anymore.

You may get your Thai friend (if you have one) to peel your prawns, but you will probably have to suck your own cockles (which is a good trick if you can do it)

If your Thai friend (if you have one) chucks something on your plate that really shouldn't be eaten by a civilised human being, there are always beggars standing by who will take any donations that you sneak off your dish.

I am quite sure the restaurant made a loss on the amount of food we ate, but they seem to specialise in coach parties for Asian tourists who only stay for half an hour, so I guess they make money from them.

Shared? with mr shy man himself? come on willy you have mentioned about the indo couple and you bottling out cos of your shyness problem, the only worrying thing is your signature, yep the rugby thing, it's a well known fact that guys only play rugby for the shared naked shower afterwards, so we can only assume that you are shy of women, what was that gay thread all about you started earlier? Is it you that is sending cmn all that nasty gay porn stuff?

well 119 baht seems dirt cheap to me....

i find it hard to believe that anyone could make money selling unlimited prawns/seafood etc for 119 baht, let alone 39 baht....

They don't, they all go bust after a few weeks but there's an endless supply of people who'll keep trying.

Most of these places charge a little more for the prawns and other edible stuff. The basic price usually only gets you crappy cuts of meat, crab sticks and those hollow tube things.

Theres a huge Korean BBQ place in Pattaya, turn right off 2nd Rd past the Big C and you can't miss it.
It's got most of the things you can think of- whole grilled fish, you can have prawns grilled fresh or shrimps pre cooked, all the usual meats and seafoods, a smattering of western food, even some Chinese dim sum. To top it all off, they've got a Thai band playing at night so I recommend you get a table a long way from the stage. Beer & Thai whidkey dead cheap too.
    Can't complain at 100 Bht.

They got dozens of the 89 B ones here in Udon, but my dog (if I had one) wouldn't eat the food there, bloody disgusting. Still they stay in business so obviously some people like dog food.
