Thread: Spaghetti Carbonara

Is pretty easy to make. Start with




dont forget a quick drink.

Add cream and a cup of wine. Drink the rest of the wine.

Stir on medium heat until it thickens, add bacon and spring onion.

Cook pasta, drain and add an egg. Stir then combine with sauce and serve with a salad and garlic bread.

Good stuff KW looks tasty , don't mean to be dumb but what is beer bacon is that a misprint ?

I often cook for a friends dinner parties and they all don't eat beef. I just tell them it's marinated pork and they are not used to the spices I use.

So i take it ,taking the piss nowadays is not Teakdoor way.

If you angle you screen down so the light catches it just so......it could be called cabonara.

Never had beef bacon , what about the wine ? I suppose that is a bit geographical some Muslims are allowed to drink good stuff anyway .

Some younger lads at work had a mate who they called Taliban Sam ( not all PC the younger generation ) anyway he liked a bit of ganja as do quite a few young Muslims in the UK , so they would get him stoned not in the sharia sense and then they would make him sandwiches and try and hide bacon in them or give him packets of frazzels . He loved bacon but would only eat it when he was wasted .

Erm, how's that different to mine? Do ya reckon that the addition of wine, chicken and mushroom changes it into not carbonara?

Beef bacon is a better alternative than turkey bacon, it's made from thinly sliced brisket.

Looks like dry noodles added on in your photo. Use a nice plate rather than a bowl as well.

It's spaghetti.

The problem with the cheese I think is that it's some crappy copy of parmesan rather than the real thing.

Because the cheaper copies aren't aged they tend not to be so 'powdery' when grated.

And yes, the bowl looks OK for babies, but hardly for guests.

Finally, chicken in a carbonara is an abomination.

Apart from that, erm..nice try.

I sure hope you are not talking to me. Pasta is noodles. Can you tell me if the noodles are vermicelli, fettuccine 7,8 or 9, or could they be a thin linguine?
