    Your weekly shop

After a 12-year break from doing, well anything really, I'm just getting back to grips with the finer points of a weekly shop, and I must say I'm enjoying it more and more with each outing.

Contrary to popular belief, England, in terms of stocking the fridge, isn't expensive.

Here's a list of the items I bought yesterday. These will keep me in evening meals for a week.

The following may rouse some suspicion concerning my sexuality, but that doesn't matter.

    SHOP: Waitrose

    TIME: Mid-afternoon

    RIFF-RAFF PRESENCE: Minimal

    1. tomatoes
    2. cucumber
    3. avocado
    4. salad onion
    5. olives
    6. lettuce
    7. red and green peppers
    8. Loaf of Warburtons stoneground wholemeal bread
    9. 5 tins sardines a la limone
    10. 2 packs smoked kippers
    11. Pack of lamb liver
    11. Microwave meal - fisherman's pie
    12. Microwave meal - wild mushroom risotto
    13. Microwave meal - Mac and cheese
    14. 4 pack Kronenberg

    Total £ ________________

    Greenery for the nearest guess.

24 four pounds and 67 pence.

BTW, if anyone is interested, Korea is, in my guesstimate, between 3 and 4 times more expensive than Thailand at weekly shop time. Even a small bottle of water, rather than 7 or 8 baht, costs 24 baht...

Would get a fair bit of change from £20 for that lot at Aldi but at Waitrose I'd imagine £28 at regular price.

Not too terrible though is it. How I miss that - five baht gulp of LK followed by a swig of namthip. Sigh...Isaan days.

A new discovery to myself outside of the kebab shop. Simply put, they are big spring onions.

Noted, although referring to avocado as gay could have serious repercussions.

Avocado are the king of fruits, or veg, or whatever the fucking hell they are.

It's gone up love , oh I see how disappointing .why is it so hard to double bag 6 bottles of beer ? Why aren't the bags better in the first place ? Aargh !

Damn shame that. Never seen Peroni in a can either. Nicest lager in the shop.
