If you want a particular blend or roast he will accommodate. He will also ship beans or ground throughout Thailand.

The beans are picked, dried, roasted, bagged and shipped in house within weeks, if not days. The aroma, crema and taste are just right IMHO.

Certainly, if you are here - best to imbibe local coffee, which can be quite surprising and flavourable/hardy.

Wasn't too long ago [10 years] that the infant coffee production was almost a secret. Today, one can find a variety of outstanding coffe types, as the industry has become quite fashionable [and available] like Vietnam coffee was some 20 years ago.

Thai coffee can be quite decent, actually.
Obviously, one can find local coffee where you expect it to be [highlands] - from Mae Hong Son to Loei....and Pai to Phetchabun.
If one doesn't have the inclination to travel to the local areas [and coffee stands/shops], Thai coffee is increasing available in all those commercial superstores one might expect - as well as the larger markets in selected areas.

Is the coffee grown locally? Just curious but I will check it out. I hadn't heard of this place before.

Right -a good bump of a thread because I was going to share this, but forgot.

I shit you not - I reckon this is the best coffee bar none for home brewing in Thailand is the Aroma Range. Cheap too, from 180-225 a sack. I get it from Friendship in beans, and they grind it for me. Can be bought in Makro as well. Warning though, in their coffee shop stores, their coffee is so so - they use the Med Original which is one that everyone would like, but no one would love. However, they have a full range of the stuff.

I alternate between three different ones depending upon what I fancy

This one for all day slurping. It's the one I fill the auto machine up with in the office as well.

This one when I need a pick me up.

And this one, often in the mornings as well.

I've tried most of them now, and even though I have been a segafredo / Illy /Lavazza drinker for years (yes, always alternate lol), and even in Thailand, I don't bother with these now. I think the Aroma stuff is better. So cheap as well - if I've not finished a packet in a week, I chuck it and open a fresh one. Wouldn't do that with a 600 baht Illy!

    Enjoy.

I buy my coffee beans from Coffee Club. The wifey thought I was mad when I asked a waitress if they sold beans.

Great coffee but they only sell it in 1 kilo sacks.

Lotus has its own brand on bagged ground coffee now and it is quite good. We were using a coffee shop that was excellent but switched over to the Lotus brand as the coffee shop closed. The Lotus stuff was surprising and it is half the price.

Buggered if I know. Why not try it out? I don't care where the beans come from as long as the taste is good.

I buy those quite often. Nothing great but it does the job, and I'm not going to pay 500 baht a bag for imported coffee.

I like this one too, though it is a dark roast so may not be to the op's taste...

Just checked the bag and it says selected Thai Arabica beans. Most consistent coffee we have found as we drink a lot. They have a Robusta and an Expresso version so try both. At 173 baht a 250 gram bag, it is a pretty good value. Look forward to your review!

^An Espresso roast can be "created" from both Robusta and Arabica beans.

I will not be reviewing this alternate, Aroma Range, supplier.

    Will check this out

Everything Doi Kham make that i've tried has been the best i've ever tried in whatever field type flavour bracket it's been in. An awesome project.

Whatever you do - don't buy "The Coffe Bean" brand as it's horrible bitter shit.

Where can you find the Doi Kham product, Albert? All the usual commercial outlets or more selected places?
