| The House, Chiangmai On a corner of the ancient Chiangmai moat, the house offers an extensive menu to suit most tastes. Moroccan style red lounge for informal dining, outdoor balcony tables for smokers to dine, and private dinning rooms for families who want a lil bit of privacy. The house offers one of the most creative menus. You will see dishes change every three - four months although a few dishers appear to be now permanent fixtures on the menu. The ones that haven't changed for ages are spicy grilled prawn on lemongrass pomelo and mint salsa and pan-fried foie gras served on grilled apple with honey balsamic sauce. All time favourite, main dishes, are New Zealand beef tenderloin on pommes anna with shiitake mushrooms, zucchini and morel sauce. Lamb cutlet with sauteed sweet pea and butternut taro puree is also one of more popular dishes as is chamomile and green tea rubbed seared tuna with tzatziki cilantro and warm lentil salad. The selection of wine, since my last visit, has vastly improved. A bottle of wine costs about 1,500 to 30,000 baht a bottle at "The House"! A good meal for two, without wine, costs about 2000-2500 baht. The House is open only for dinner, 6-10 30pm. Worth a try.

| I think you got the wrong link there Macha, isn't The House on Moon Muang road just past Sompet market. It's a white concrete building with a small carpark in front. I don't recognise that pic, though I could be wrong. |
