Singha Water.... I have a feeling

....that it contains MSG or an artificial sweetener.

The GF says she doesn't like it, saying it is sweet tasting. I find that it hits the salt and sweet taste parts of the tongue at the same time which is typical of umami. I can't say I particularly like it which is odd for water because it should not really taste of anything. I would think they are all basically distilled tap water so the contents shouldn't vary enough for minerals to have an impact. Also, I find it the least refreshing water to drink if that makes sense.

I use to work for Singha for many years and at that time it did not contain anything...they have since moved the production from their old Bangabuu factory so I would not know any more how it's made....it was pumped up from bore holes before and caused some subsidence to the area around the factory and they had to move to a new place in Pathumthani...I did not see them producing bottled water or soda here

if you take half a bottle of distilled water and shake it hard for about a minute or so it will taste a lot better. the 'taste' of water, or more the reason distilled water tastes of nothing is that it and boiled water contain no dissolved air, you can get the same issue with ro water

Would distilled water taste better if you farted in it and then capped it quickly, or would that just taste like Perrier water?

It's the one bottled water we've always avoided. Tastes unpleasant. Kinda metally.

It's the same as plain tap water but a monk says a few prayers over the pipe twice a year.

I've had three different brands today: Tip R.O, Crystal and Namthip, because variety is the spice of life..

I always wondered too how I can find so many people drinking Singha, it just tastes wrong! I have had to try almost every brand available here and the only ones that agreed with me were Namthip and Siam.

ahh I miss a Buxton spring.

yeah Singha is the best of a bad bunch.

Nestle when boiled used to have little nasty particles in it so we've avoided that for the last couple o years.

Do you mean the "minerie" stuff? If so, that's the only one I don't like.
