| Aspiring Guru | Nice places to eat On my way home from work I fortunately have to traverse Victory Monument one of Bangkok's major public transport hubs. I call into Victory Point. There's a number of small restaurants here. It's a decent sort of place to kick back and have a bite and a beer. The atmosphere is pleasant and outdoors and it's 3 baht to use the toilet. No shortage of Thai girlies to look at, if that's your thing. ![]() ![]() ![]()

| The Dog | it dont look very busy poolie, is there a reason for that? was it like aussie nite or something and it scared away all the locals? and yes i must agree that that grey haired old hag is sure something to look at ![]() damn you aussies are a weird lot, we got wally sitting naked in big johns place, you posting pics of old hags saying its a good place to see the galies, and the cap getting himself beaten up, and im not even going to mention your thing about circumcision..... |

| The Dog | my mistake poolie, i assumed that was her grand mother anyway today i went to Rim Talay on Jomtien beach, 3 main dishes and a beer came to over 500baht, i could have got the same meal down the road for about 250baht, now i have to admit it was quite nice even though it was nearly empty, and hell its only money i suppose, although it is my foking money and i begrudged paying their over the top foking prices so i wont be going back there again unless someone else is paying, i could have hit pattaya and had 3 roast meals for that, foking bstards all of them, actually tomorrow i shall hit the cheapy roast meal place, 95baht for half a roast chicken with all the trimmings, im not sure if i will take pics of it cos ppl might think im a bit of nutter, have to see if any notices if i get me camera out |

| Aspiring Guru | I'm fond of the piccys. It's just getting over the "Is he a fucking fruitcake, taking pics of a scabby cat?" or "Is that sexpat aiming his camera at me honey?" I'll adopt the typical trainspotting Brit attitude and walk out into the middle of traffic to get a decent snap and they can all think I'm a fuckwit but the shot will be worth it!! ![]() |

| For proper Thai food (not Isaan shite) the best restaurant in Thailand is Baan Kanitha on Sukhumvit Soi 21. Before you berate me in your ignorance, give them a call and book a table on 02 258 4181. Compared with this place, Cabbages & Condoms is like eating the scraps from a bin.

| For Thai food, yes. According to the "Bangkok Dining and Entertainment Magazine". No doubt you'll be telling me that sitting in the traffic fumes next to Sukhumvit is a far superior dining experience... |
