    Herbal Teas... What's your poison?

I like a nice ginger tea after lunch... aids the digestive process and tastes delicious. If I have it at night though it disrupts my sleep.

So in the evening I usually have a peppermint tea with dinner followed by a camomile tea.

They taste great, make you feel great, and give me a very peaceful, deep sleep.

I may take a walk on the wildside though. Perhaps through excessive experimentation.

What herbal teas do you go for?

I drink lots of green tea throughout the day after my two morning coffees. I have a nice collection in the cupboard, which includes a nice ginger lemongrass tea, reishi tea, a detox tea and a (ahem) laxative blend. Maybe a bit TMI on that one.

    Hippies!

I like a decoction of Scottish barley and organic, peat-infused, highland water. Lightly boiled, the steam collected and reboiled to remove impurities, aged for 21 years in an organic sherry barrel, and served with water from the purest mountain streams. Now THAT'S a herbal tea worth drinking.

Nat, you do realize that drinking coffee will cancel out all the benefits derived from your fashionable and trendy elixirs, don't you?

My favourite too. I've never found it in Chiang Mai. Anybody know anywhere that sells it here?

I'm American - coffee first in a.m. Then all sorts of tea during the day. I never drink any of that yellow piss that most falang drink all night and sometimes all day.

    Celestial Seasonings "Sleepy Time".

    It works!

But not if you have it all the time, I rarely imbibe as a few beers does the same thing and is more enjoyable.

and i thought i would know tea... but lapsang souchong mentioned by so many, i have never herad before...

i love - and miss - peppermint tea, but not the "regular" peppermint...
its the real, true middle eastern tea peppermint - the spearmint, grown in morocco...
    goes also as "nana tea"...

often its on a menu there as nana/spearmint tea, but in fact its ordinary peppermint...
