| The Witches Tavern: Worst Burger Ever I gave a try a while ago to the Witch Tavern on Soi Thong Lor (Soi 50 Suk) after seeing their nice banner claiming that they had the best burger in town. My favorite place for burgers has always been Woodstock in Nana Plaza, but they shutdown and left about 2 years ago. So the next best thing was downstair Nana Plaza, the small burger place where you get yours around midnight in the street when you are drunk and looking up the night market for some freelance actions. anyway, wanted to try something new and went for their burger. At 280 THB the burger, this surely couldn't go wrong and had to be "as advertised". well after waiting 45min, I started to think this wasn't maybe the best idea, as nobody around me were ordering burgers. Well, it finally came and it was a disappointing piece. It was just horrible. Absolutely disgusting. Not to mention the French Fries that smelled like fish and had all kind of other taste mixed with it. The place is simply horrible for food, and totally overpriced. The place is packed with a few interesting freelancers, but the horrible loud music in a small crowded place just want to make you leave. Even Hard Rock Cafe is not that loud. The place sucks. I ordered my food outside in their sidewalk area as the music was unbearable. The Witch Hunt: VOTED THE WORST BURGER IN BANGKOK + WORST PUB IN TOWN FOR A QUIET DRINK Recommendation: Avoid. Freelancer takeout only. Last edited by Butterfly : 25-01-2007 at 10:33 AM. |

| The best burger in Thailand can be found in a number of places. First go to Lotus, Big C or Makro early in the day and ask the butcher to grind up some beef for you, "just leave some fat on there please, I'm not a Hindu, thank you". Then go home and cook it. |

| I am in Jail | Not to shabby in Chiang Mai down by the thapei gate, one place on a corner that I can't remember the name of and just down the street is the Filmore East that has a good burger, but I usually eat a char broiled sirloin and a cesear salad. He uses all USDA Prime beef, good sounds and he is from Marin county Calif. |

What is "cuisine food"? Never seen the phrase used that way. Or is this some sort of rhyming slang? | |
