    Sunflowers

Can anybody tell me when is the right time to plant sunflower seeds and where I can get a supply of seeds to plant.

I've noticed sunflowers are in bloom over the winter months in the North of Thailand so I'm assuming the planting time here in Thailand is sometime around August - Can anyone advise?

As for the seeds, I found some in a local gardening store today, but they were Bht25 for a pack of about ten seeds - I have plans to plant about 4 Rai or more of sunflowers if I can get the info and seeds. I reckon I need a small sack full of seeds to cover the area I have in mind.

Saraburi holds their annual sunflower festival on the 1st November, that should help.

The one you saw in the north would be a different type of sun flowers.. I think it's called "Bua Tong"..

Go to your local shop and buy a packet of seeds. The kids eat them like sweets. Google will assist as when to when to plant.
