    Tham Pii Plants / Bushes

My wife picked up one of these Tham Pii (not sure of the spelling) bushes the other day and I must say it has a nice odor to it. Very subtle smell - I like it and thinking of getting some more to plant around the house. For 150 Baht, a very nice plant.

Jum Pii is a plant with white flowers. Jum Pa has yellow flowers. And yes they do smell quite nice. They do need to be trimmed to get the best effect.

Really hard to tell by the photos. Wait a month or so and you will know...

Thanks for the reply Billy. Here's a couple of closer shots of what the folks around here call Tham Pii - maybe it's Jum Pa, don't know. Wonder what it is in English tho...

Jam Pii. Champaca in English. Michelia Something in Latin.

White Champaca is Michelia Alba. I have one in the garden that I bought as a really small plant, but it's really taking off now.

White Champaca, White Sandalwood - Michelia alba
