Will bamboo grow in Isaan? Yes. There is shit loads of it. Surely you have seen it in Yasoton. Or did you mean a specific variety of bamboo?

    (FYI: mai pai = ไม้ไผ่ = bamboo).

Yes. Shit loads of them do. Or did you mean a specific kind of bear? (Polar bears rarely do. )

    Indeed.
As the term, mai pai, means bamboo, Chico probably doesn't understand this and was attempting to be wise and intelligent thinking that it might refer to a particular variety.

Either not terribly observant, nave, or just wanted to post a rhetorically stupid query....

There is a wide variety of bamboo found in Thailand [a couple of species native] and difficult to avoid as 98 percent of bamboo species are indigenous and prolific to Asia [hundreds of varieties known worldwide].

    You clearly never have.

The number of times you make an utter tit of yourself on here in any given 24 hour period is quite staggering.

    Certainly a natural UKIP voter.

You can keep it manageable by regularly cutting out bamboo shoots for the pot.

    1. Find some bamboo shoots

    2. Dig up/cut out some bamboo shoot.

    3. Go home, peel the bamboo, cut it up and put it in a pan of water.

    4. Head off to Tesco Lotus to buy some pork ribs

    5. Fire the gas up, add a few more secret ingredients, wave your magic wand and wait for the magic to happen.

    6. Eat and enjoy.
