    สาธารณประโยชน์ S̄āṭhārṇprayochn̒ untitled land

Anyone know is this the correct way Thai's describe Untilted land.

I'm hoping to build a Pigsty on untilted land, though I want it to have a concrete base, through my understanding, you can't build a fixed structure on this type of land is this correct.?

I built a concrete drive onto my property 11 years ago and no one has made me take it up. Others have done the same. To build a pigsty I'd have thought you'd need to submit plans being as it's a structure.

Chico, not sure, but think it is something about public land, so no pig farms.

Jim the info I got before, was if you place a concrete base down and the land dept decide you can't be prepared that you have to take it go away.

No mention of it being a pig farm, on the same land before we had cows and ducks.

The PYB is going to check to make sure.

As said, not sure, but public land is like a common in the UK, people graze their cows on school, tassiban or Amphor lands, but have no rights over that land.

Prag, have no title for my house, in a village, no one for miles around has charnote, it's not a problem, just too far from the main road.
Village keeps track of who owns what, when the charnote people come you get title, but the village controlled area is the village, outside the small area, land is controlled by other agencies.

HH will find that what I said in post #5 to be correct. He can make a concrete access to gain entry onto property but cannot build a structure ie a pigsty. No need to go to the PYB. His missus would know how things go down.

Pragmatic you may find in the OP, that's what I said though because of differing opinion decided to find out from a different source.

Through my understanding it's not public land its fenced and been in the family for many years, when Thaksin was in power, they could have got the chanote if the three families concerned with the surrounding land agreed one family wouldn't agree because of some dispute they had.

The PYB after his morning told me I tink to mut,you no have ploblem

Easy for him to say that. Go to the land office and ask there. Public land is fenced off in the UK. Would you go and build on that without permission?

A 'Chanote' is a land title, one of many, it's the best you can get. Same as mine is titled in post 10. 'Chanote' does not mean 'papers of land ownership'.

As you mentioned you have a driveway on untitled land, if they want to they can ask you to take it away they can, as I previously posted they can ask my wife to take the structure away when built.

Though the chances are very slim in both are cases.

So, do you think the 'family' is just gonna let you walk on and build a pigsty? Two things a Thai will fight over. Women and land. Get yer boxing gloves out HH.

It's for the family to become self-sufficient, and for a possible little venture when the house is built on Chanote land.

Building etc has fook all to do with the Poo Yai Baan. Its the Or Bor Tor that controls building permits.

'Poo Yai Baan' is an elected official of a village sub-division. He generally takes care of the security, village fund, and day-to-day matters. He answers to the Kamnan.

The Kamnan is the head of the village and usually has several Poo Yai Baans working for him. He is also an elected (by the village) official.
Or Bor Tor issued building permit license

Licenses in the area where we live don't exist.

Why would I want to go the land office when the PYB does it for you, you go there and sit all ferking day, you can't even give the bottle of whiskey nowadays to get it done quickly.

Pragmatic either your family has no pull in the area you live or you don't know the PYB

Outside of the land part, forget pigs, no money in small pig farms and if your outlaws were interested in pig farming, why didn't they try before.

They want to be self sufficient, go get a job an prove they are willing to work first.
Is your family landless, if not what are they doing with their land, growing vegetables, planting fruit trees etc.
Small financial investments, but lots of labor involved, or are they into laying around looking for handouts.

Keep away from village land deals that involve relatives and everyone is related, keep away from any farming ideas, most rural Thais know nothing about pigs, chickens, ducks or any thing outside of basic rice growing.

They will tell you they are experts on this or that, but ask a simple question about , food costs, antibiotics and you will get blank looks.

Jim we are building a home on the farm land I wish my family to eat food that I know where it comes from.

It has nothing to do with my wife's family,I have wanted to do this for a long time though because of all the robbing bstards around the area, haven't we will be living on the land and will be able to secure the property ourselves, the little venture we may do doesn't cost anything to us, it is a restaurant around are large pond that we will provide to ladies that will cook and buy everything from us. there is very little outlay.
